A glimpse behind the scenes of the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra

WSO Associate Conductor Julian Pellicano will discuss how a symphony orchestra functions on a week-to-week basis, what the musician’s days are like and what the musician’s and conductor’s paths are to getting a rare chance to be a member of a top-tier ensemble like the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra. Julian will also discuss the role of the conductor and insights into how the conductor’s gestures are designed to be translated into sound.
All programming is free of charge and provided over the phone. Anyone aged 55+ who lives in Manitoba can participate either on their own or as a group.
