The OCD Centre, at the CMHA Manitoba and Winnipeg has been preparing and planning for a Hoarding Disorder Education Symposium to take place on February 23rd, 2024, at the Canad Inns Polo Park. We have now opened registration for this event, and we have 150 spots. The event is free thanks to funding from End Homelessness Winnipeg.
We plan to host professionals and service providers interested in learning more about hoarding disorder and about how to provide compassionate and effective service to people with hoarding disorder experiences. Our speaker is Lindsay Bacala, an expert on hoarding disorder and we will have Christine Brantiosis, from the UBC Social Work Faculty joining to present by Zoom.
Both presenters are involved in the international hoarding disorder support community and leaders in their field.
